Katherine Ferrier

Producing these retreats has always been a labor of love, one that I have immersed myself in wholly. Being just one human, even with two hands and a decent ability to multi-task, it would have been a stretch for me to run these delicious gatherings all these years without some help. Katherine Ferrier showed up at the studio way back in 2016 and asked for a role.  Since that time she has supported all my efforts and exertions around these retreats with the most warm and generous spirit, and a profound willingness to dive in and get her hands dirty. I would not have been able to build what these gatherings have become without her support. And believe me there were moments when that support was a challenge. But she showed up with her whole heart and soul, over and over, and I am blessed for it. In addition to fine tuning my broad strokes of how things would unfold, she has been the set decorator, the equipment wrangler, the kitchen liaison, the golf cart chauffeur, and my all round right hand. The Yin to my Yang. In the last few years she has also led a soulful workshop, Making, Being, and Being Made, Contemplative Writing for Makers, which has opened up avenues of expression for many Campers. She is a vibrant and diverse Artist in her own right, working in the mediums of writing, dancing, and quilting, as well as her prodigious skills in community organizing and collecting people and ideas. Check out her website to see more of her work. My retreats would not be what they are without her love and support and I will be forever grateful that she showed up at Cove St all those years ago, and that she continues to this day.
